Connect Arlo to Claude, ChatGPT and Grok

Connect your AI app to Arlo and ask about your farms in your own words: harvest by lot, supply spend, alerts, remisiones. The app sees exactly what you see in Arlo, and by default it asks you before it records anything.

Arlo's connector URL

https://arloagro.com/mcp

Claude (claude.ai and the Claude desktop app)

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors. If Arlo is listed under Browse connectors, pick it there; otherwise click Add custom connector.
  2. For a custom connector, name it Arlo, paste https://arloagro.com/mcp as the URL and click Add.
  3. Click Connect. Arlo opens in your browser: sign in with your Arlo account and approve the connection.
  4. In a chat, turn on Arlo in the tools menu and ask about your farm.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps, search for Arlo and click Connect. If Arlo isn't listed yet, turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings, click Create app, paste https://arloagro.com/mcp as the URL and choose OAuth.
  2. Arlo opens in your browser: sign in with your Arlo account and approve the connection.
  3. In a chat, choose Arlo from the + menu and ask about your farm.

Claude Code

Add Arlo from your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http arlo https://arloagro.com/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code, choose arlo and Authenticate. Your browser opens Arlo: sign in and approve the connection.

Grok (grok.com and the Grok app)

  1. On grok.com, open Connectors, click New Connector and choose Custom.
  2. Name it Arlo, paste https://arloagro.com/mcp as the MCP URL and save.
  3. Grok opens Arlo: sign in with your Arlo account and approve the connection. Then ask Grok about your farm.

Grok Business and Enterprise

On a Grok Business or Enterprise team, an admin adds Arlo first: in console.x.ai, open Grok Business → Connectors → + Add Connector → Other and enter https://arloagro.com/mcp. This needs Team Read-Write permission. Each member then connects from grok.com and signs in with their own Arlo account.

Grok Build

Add Arlo from your terminal:

grok mcp add --transport http arlo https://arloagro.com/mcp

Or add it to the project's .mcp.json, which Grok Build and Claude Code both read. The first time Arlo is used, your browser opens Arlo: sign in and approve the connection.

What the app can do

The app works as you, with the farms, modules and prices your role allows in Arlo. If you can't see prices, it can't either. Your farm admin turns AI access on or off for you with the AI access permission, which also covers the Arlo assistant and WhatsApp.

It can list your farms, read the records you can see, pull the numbers behind Arlo's reports to build charts, and record harvest entries, supply exits and field task logs, copy harvest prices from the previous cycle, and create sanitation forms, form fields and alerts. By default, your AI app asks you to approve each one before Arlo records it.

See and revoke connected AI apps

In Arlo, open Integrations → Connected AI apps. Each app shows its name, the site it uses, when you approved it and when it was last used. Click Revoke to cut off an app at once.

A farm owner or admin who uses Close All Sessions on your account also revokes your connected apps. An app you don't use for 30 days loses access, and you connect it again the same way.

Things to ask

Name a farm the way you say it. For example:

  • “Which lots had the most harvested kg over the last 4 weeks? Chart it by week.”
  • “Compare supply spend this month across all my farms.”
  • “Which alerts triggered over the last 2 weeks, and on which lots?”
  • “Show last week's remisiones with their totals by client.”
  • “Record 20 canastillas harvested on lot 10D today.”

Troubleshooting

  • The app says AI access is off or lists no farms: ask your farm admin to give you the AI access permission on that farm.
  • The app says a farm's account is inactive: that farm's Arlo subscription isn't active; contact your farm owner.
  • The app says to retry later: you hit Arlo's request limit; wait the time it gives, or ask about fewer farms at a time.
  • The app asks you to connect again: it was revoked or went 30 days unused. Connect it again from your AI app.
