Frequently asked questions

How do you track fruit sales by buyer and by block?
By putting the lot on every line of every sales statement. Each Arlo statement line carries its lot, variety, grade, kilos, and price, so the client statements report shows what each buyer took from each lot, and at what average price per kilo.
How do you calculate average price per kg by lot?
Arlo calculates it. It adds up what each lot sold across its statements and divides by the kilos sold. In the lot cost centers you see it next to the same lot's cost per kilo.
How do you calculate profit per hectare for each block?
From the lot's income and costs. Arlo takes income from the statements. It takes labor, supplies, harvest, and the lot's share of the estate's overhead from what your team records. Then it shows each lot's net result, yield per hectare, cost per kilo, and average price per kilo.
Can each buyer have a different price per kg?
Yes. Every statement line has its own unit price, so each buyer and each grade can have theirs. The client statements report then shows the average price per kilo each buyer paid, by variety and grade.
What is a remisión, and why do Latin American buyers ask for one?
A remisión is the delivery document that travels with the fruit: what was delivered, from which lot, in which grade, how many kilos, and at what price. Buyers and packers in Latin America use it to receive the load and reconcile it before the invoice. Arlo issues it numbered, as a PDF.
Can a statement trace fruit back to the lot it came from?
Yes. The lot is on every line, so each kilo sold keeps its lot, variety, and grade, and a statement can be linked to the harvest shipment it belongs to.
Does this replace invoicing or accounting software?
No. Arlo issues sales statements, called remisiones. It doesn't issue tax invoices or connect directly to accounting systems. Statements and reports export to Excel and PDF so your accountant can invoice and keep the books.
Can we send a statement without prices?
Yes. You can download the PDF with or without prices. You can also complete a statement without prices and set them later. It stays pending until you set the prices, and then Arlo emails the PDF to the buyer's address on file.
